Textbook:  Biology, McGraw-Hill: Glencoe, 2017

Welcome to Biology.  During the fall semester, we will be studying the scientific process, and learning some of the basics of the study of life, with an emphasis on molecular and cellular biology. Topics include: chemistry/biochemistry, DNA structure/replication/mutations, Mendelian genetics & heredity.  The spring semester emphasis is on evolution. Topics include: Charles Darwin's natural selection, classification. To achieve this goal we will be using a variety of methods, which include the following: projects, lab activities, worksheets, films, and lectures.
